Yu Kanazawa, the lead coordinator of our SIG, is pleased to announce the COIL Symposium: Connecting Universities in Japan and Beyond (hosted by Kie Yamamoto, one of his research collaborators), to be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Toyo University’s Hakusan Campus, Tokyo, Japan. This symposium will share practices of Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) connecting universities in Japan and overseas. Through keynote lectures, practice-based presentations, and learner perspectives, participants will explore the possibilities of international collaborative learning and the design of meaningful, socially relevant learning experiences in higher education.
